If your skin is feeling sensitive, dry, or irritated we recommend the Harmony Balancing Cleanser. This milky cleanser is gently formulated with Kombucha to support a healthy skin barrier and Cucumber Extract to soothe signs of sensitivity.

The skin's microbiome is part of your outermost layer of your skin that is the barrier to everything underneath. Essentially it is a defense system to the barrier - think of it as the immune system to the skin barrier. If a skin's microbiome is imbalanced, it affects the overall health of our skin barrier.

Double cleansing is always recommended (in the PM) as oil cleansers and makeup removers help break down the dirt and oil, and water cleansers (like Harmony) will deep clean any remaining dirt or debris in the skin. This is even more the case if you wear makeup and/or SPF on skin. However, Harmony can be used as a double cleanser itself - using Harmony twice (once dry, second wet) is a great way to still double cleanse when you are experiencing sensitive skin.

Kombucha natural ferment, also known as “long-life mushroom beverage,” is rich with numerous vitamins. Through clinical studies, it was found that use of kombucha in skincare resulted in significant improvements in the appearance of skin color, radiance, and clarity.

Cucumber Extract
Cucumber peel extract contains many phenolic compounds and lactic acid. Lactic acid exhibits antioxidant properties that can help to protect the skin from free radicals and also exfoliates the skin. Since lactic acid has a larger molecular size than glycolic acid, it is gentler on the skin and less likely to be irritating.

Glycerin
A super hydrator, glycerin has such a small molecule it can penetrate through the skin barrier into the dermis, hydrating the skin from within. It is also a humectant that slows down water loss from the skin, even in very dry environments which otherwise would dehydrate the skin.
