In our previous post, we talked about different types of cleansers. Currently we have oil based cleansers in store, and now a gel cleanser has joined the family!
We will briefly explain what a gel cleanser is, and then walk you through what’s in Purify, along with all its amazing benefits.
So What is a Gel Cleanser?
With its thick gel consistency, a gel cleanser is perfect if you are looking for something efficient that 1) unclogs pores 2) removes excess oil and 3) treats acne. It works well with all skin types, but is strongly recommended to those with oily and combination skin.
Our gel cleanser produces a light foam once in contact with water for a refreshing cleansing experience.
What Makes Purify Different? Decoding Purify's Ingredients
1. Aloe Vera
As many of you may know, aloe vera is superior in so many ways - it’s incorporated in countless of skin care products in the market. It keeps your skin hydrated (provides a protective layer to the skin that retains moisture) and soothed (reduce skin inflammation and itchiness).
Its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties are great for treating acne, it speeds up skin cell reproduction which is great for healing skin and treating acne scars, and minimizes pore size. It’s also high in antioxidants and Vitamin C, which helps with production of collagen, making your skin supple and firm, reducing the appearance of fine lines!
2. Amino Acid Blend
We already have amino acids in the top layer of our skin, which push moisture through the skin to keep our skin hydrated. They play a vital role in promoting all the biological processes that occur in our bodies. Our Purify contains a powerful blend of amino acids for the skin - arginine which repairs visible skin damage, histidine that soothes skin & antioxidants, and glycine and proline which diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles.
3. Green Tea Extract
Green tea balances oil levels, brightens up your skin, and makes sure your skin ages healthily. Also included in our Detox Green Tea Antioxidant Clay Mask, it’s got all the good stuff your skin’s been asking for. <3
4. Cucumber Extract
Cucumber extract helps to soothe and relieve puffy skin. It contains Vitamin C as well as various minerals, and its moisturizing properties keep your skin hydrated. It's also amazing for sensitive skin!
5. Fermented Yeast Filtrate
Fermented ingredients have been slowly taking over the skin care industry (it first picked up hype in South Korea). It contains antioxidants that neutralize harmful free radicals. Fermented yeast enhances collagen production, which helps your skin age gracefully. It also speeds up the process of ingredient absorption in the skin, and the fermentation process produces new amino acids!
Love the ingredients! So how do you use Purify?
- Splash lukewarm water on your face.
- Take 2-3 pumps of gel cleanser and apply to your face.
- Massage cleanser into your skin in circular motions. Focus on the T-zone, nose, and chin areas.
- Rinse off, pat face dry.
- Follow with a serum or moisturizer for best results.
